La Paz's last job fair of the year will offer more than 300 openings on October 27
Over 40 companies will recruit at Arena La Paz from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; job seekers only need their CURP and an official ID.
La Paz will host its final job fair of 2026 on Tuesday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Arena La Paz, with more than 300 openings from over 40 companies. The announcement came from the National Employment Service (SNE) in Baja California Sur, which operates under the state Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Development.
The venue is at the corner of General Félix Ortega Aguilar and José María Morelos y Pavón streets, in the Centro neighborhood. Admission is free for anyone looking for work.
Who it is for
The fair is part of the "Abriendo Espacios" program, which focuses on groups that often have a harder time finding jobs. These include single mothers who head households, older adults, people with disabilities, young people without experience, people going through social reintegration and people in mobility situations.
State Labor, Welfare and Social Development Secretary José Manuel Rojas Aguilar said the fair "will promote the labor inclusion of people from priority groups" (translated from Spanish). The event remains open to the general public.
What to bring
The requirements are minimal: the CURP population registry code and a copy of an official ID, such as the INE voter card. That is enough to approach the participating companies' booths.
As practical advice, bring several printed copies of your résumé or job application, since you will likely visit several booths in one morning. Arriving early also helps: the fair runs only four hours, and interviews tend to cluster at the start.
If you can't attend
Those unable to attend on October 27 can browse openings on the federal Employment Portal (empleo.gob.mx), which lists jobs registered with the SNE nationwide, including Baja California Sur. State SNE offices also provide job guidance and placement services throughout the year.
As the last event of its kind in 2026, the fair is a chance to land a job ahead of the year-end high season, when retail and services in the state capital typically add staff.
