La Paz Empleotón job fair to offer more than 200 vacancies on August 20

SNE-BCS and Fundación Teletón will host the event at Plaza Paseo La Paz; 40 positions are earmarked for people with disabilities.

SNE-BCS and Fundación Teletón officials announce the Empleotón job fair in La Paz.

Baja California Sur's National Employment Service (SNE-BCS), together with Fundación Teletón, will hold a new edition of Empleotón on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Plaza Paseo La Paz in the El Zacatal neighborhood, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with more than 200 vacancies on offer.

According to José Manuel Rojas Aguilar, director general of SNE-BCS, 40 of those positions are earmarked for people with disabilities as part of the office's commitment to inclusive employment. The announcement was made at CRIT Baja California Sur with the Labor, Welfare and Social Development Minister, Omar Zavala Agúndez, and Teletón's state directors on hand.

The event runs as a job fair: participating companies set up recruiting booths and interested candidates can be interviewed on the spot, no appointment needed. The call is still open for more private-sector employers to add their vacancies.

How to prepare for Empleotón

  • Bring several printed copies of your résumé with updated contact information.
  • Have your official ID, CURP and proof of address ready; some companies request basic documents on site.
  • If you are looking for an inclusive vacancy, head to the SNE-BCS booth and ask about the 40 positions for people with disabilities.
  • Employers interested in participating can contact SNE-BCS to register before the event.

Empleotón has been held before at different points across the state as a strategy to directly connect job seekers with local companies, including tourism, retail, services and construction — sectors that traditionally hire heavily during the summer season.
