Los Cabos pays student financial aid for September-October on October 7

The Los Cabos city government will pay its student financial aid for the September-October 2026 period on Wednesday, October 7. Payouts run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at five locations across the municipality.
According to the city, the program aims to support students staying in school and help family budgets. The official notice does not state the amount each beneficiary will receive.
Payout locations
- Cabo San Lucas: Leonardo Gastélum Auditorium.
- San José del Cabo: El Zacatal neighborhood sports court.
- Rural areas: La Ribera, Santiago and Miraflores municipal delegations.
What to bring
Elementary students:
- Four copies of a current school ID or a proof-of-enrollment letter with photo.
- Four copies of the parent's or guardian's official ID.
Middle school, high school and university students:
- Four copies of a current school ID or a proof-of-enrollment letter with photo.
If the student cannot attend, a parent or guardian may collect the aid by presenting the student's documents and four copies of their own official ID.
Tips to avoid a wasted trip
- Make copies today. Four sets are required.
- Check your school ID is current. If it has expired, ask the school for a proof-of-enrollment letter with photo before Wednesday.
- Go to the closest location, especially in rural delegations where trips to town are long.
- Arrive early. The window closes at 2:00 p.m.
Background
The payout comes the same week classes resumed at all levels in Los Cabos. The State Civil Protection Council had suspended school activities in the municipality starting October 1 due to Hurricane Rachel and cleared students to return on Monday, October 5.
