The Baja California Sur National Employment Service (SNE-BCS) is holding a National Job Fair this Friday, August 21, in San José del Cabo, with more than 250 formal job openings. The venue is the Rodrigo Aragón Ceseña Sports Complex, at Copa México street number 70, El Rosarito neighborhood.

The openings come from the hotel, retail and supermarket sectors, along with other local businesses. Admission is free and allows direct connection between companies and job seekers, with no intermediaries or cost.

José Manuel Rojas Aguilar, head of SNE-BCS, said the event seeks to ease "la vinculación directa y gratuita entre quienes buscan una oportunidad" (the direct, free matching of job seekers) with companies that have positions available. The fair focuses on young people but also serves job seekers of all ages.

The Los Cabos tourist corridor accounts for much of the state's job supply, especially in hospitality, restaurants and retail, so these fairs tend to bring dozens of employers together in one place.

To make the most of the day, bring several copies of an updated résumé and an official ID, and arrive early, since interviews are handled on a first-come basis. It also helps to carry your contact details and, if available, proof of studies or courses to speed up applying on the spot.
